Miss College Park Scholarship Competition

Whitney Egbe was crowned the 34th Miss College Park in September 2026. She received a $2,100 scholarship and generous gifts, including designer accessories, a laptop, jewelry, and a professional photoshoot. Whitney was also one of this year’s $200 Poise and Overall Appearance scholarship winners sponsored by Symphony Dixon, Miss College Park 2014. Whitney will advance to the Miss Maryland Organization’s state competition in June.

Now a 20-year-old junior at Fordham University studying International Political Economy with a double minor in Business Administration and Theatre, Whitney Egbe is a Maryland native. At school, she is an award-winning American Mock Trial Association competitor on Fordham’s Mock Trial team, a goalie on Fordham Women’s Lacrosse, and a United Student Government Class of 2028 Senator. And, every once in a while, you can find her in Collin’s Auditorium either in the spotlight or backstage with a headset on. Whitney also just wrapped up a busy summer as an Orientation Coordinator. 

 

Whitney has been running “Write A Mile”, her educational equity charity project through which she organizes yearly school supply drives, since she was 12 years old. In August 2026, she donated over 5,000 school supplies packed into about 300 backpacks to StriveHigher, funded by support she secured from her University. Whitney looks forward to working with the American Legion Auxiliary on its Annual School Supply Drive in 2027 for Schools in College Park and the surrounding areas. She is also excited to promote equitable access to education and the benefits of college to the youth in College Park. 

 

Whitney is incredibly grateful to the sponsors of the Miss College Park Scholarship Program, including the City of College Park and its Council members, for their support and warm welcome into the community. She also thanks Commander Sonia Harper and the John B. Latimer Post 217 and Unit 217 for their continued encouragement. Most importantly, Whitney thanks Angie Rodriguez, Director of Miss College Park, whose 35 years of leadership have shaped the program and provided meaningful mentorship to each titleholder.
